The Ligue 1 match between Marseille and Paris St-Germain, which was postponed on Sunday amid a storm warning, has been rescheduled for Monday.
Authorities issued an orange alert for flooding and thunderstorms in the Provence-Alpes-Cote d’Azur (PACA) region where Marseille is located.
The fixture, known as ‘Le Classique’, will now get under way at 20:45 pm local time (19:45 BST) and clashes with the 2025 Ballon d’Or ceremony, which takes place in Paris.
PSG forward Ousmane Dembele is a hot favourite to win the award and will still be able to attend as he continues to recover from a hamstring injury.
Injuries are also set to play in the favour of Desire Doue and Joao Neves who have been nominated and should be at the Theatre du Chatelet.
But nominees Achraf Hakimi, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, Nuno Mendes, Fabian Ruiz and Vitinha are set to play in the rescheduled fixture in Marseille.
Defending champions PSG have made a perfect start to the current campaign – winning all four games – and sit top of Ligue 1, with Marseille eighth after two wins and two defeats.
