A murder inquiry has begun following the death of a man in Lisburn.
The 42-year-old victim was found with serious injuries at a property in Wardsborough Road on Monday morning.
He was given medical treatment at the scene and was taken to hospital where he later died.
A 38-year-old woman and 37-year-old man have both been arrested on suspicion of murder and remain in custody.
Det Insp Jill Angus said: “Although our investigation is at an early stage, we are working to establish the circumstances surrounding the man’s death and to determine exactly what happened.”
She explained that officers received a call for assistance at the property from the Northern Ireland Ambulance Service just before 01:00 BST on Monday.
“The community can expect to see an increased police presence in the Wardsborough area as officers conduct further enquiries into what happened – cordons also remain in place,” she added.
