A second man, Steven Gordon, 38, also made no plea to charges at Glasgow Sheriff Court.
He was arrested on Wednesday in a simultaneous Police Scotland operation four miles away in the city’s Garthamlock area.
He was charged with serious and organised crime, firearms and drugs offences and conspiracy to murder.
Police Scotland Assistant Chief Constable Dave Ferry said: “We will continue to take strong action and to use every tool and tactic available to relentlessly pursue those involved in serious criminality who seek to profit from the harm and misery they cause to communities in Scotland.”
More than 60 arrests have now been made since 2020 as part of the Scottish arm of Operation Venetic.
The arrests were made after the National Crime Agency penetrated a secret communications system used by criminals.
The operation was reported to have been “unprecedented” in scale and success.
