An 83-year-old man has died after a fire at a house in Ceredigion.

He died at the scene in Drefach, near Llanybydder, after emergency services were called at about 12:20 GMT on Wednesday, Dyfed-Powys Police said.

Police described the damage to the two-storey property as extensive.

The force and Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Service (MWWFRS) are investigating the cause, but said it was not being treated as suspicious.
