Caernarfon Town came from behind to win 2-1 away at Connah’s Quay Nomads in their Cymru Premier opener.
Champions The New Saints were held to a goalless draw by Penybont as the first round of matches in the new-look league concluded.
Sunday’s two games featured the four sides that represented Wales in Europe last month.
Mikey Stone, on his league debut, put Connah’s Quay ahead on 27 minutes with a stunning free-kick.
Nomads could have extended their lead early in the second half but Hussein Mehasseb’s header was cleared off the line.
Caernarfon levelled just before the hour when with Sion Bradley scored from the penalty spot after a handball.
They secured victory with 19 minutes left when Zack Clarke, who completed a permanent move from TNS during the summer, scored from the edge of the area.
