Ireland wicketkeeper-batter Amy Hunter will miss this month’s tour to India because of a foot injury with Joanna Loughran coming into the squad as her replacement.<\/b><\/p>\n

Leinster CC’s Loughran, 20, made her international debut last February and returns to the squad after missing out on the recent Bangladesh tour. <\/p>\n

The Irish are set to play their first-ever bilateral series against the hosts in India with the three ODIs part of the ICC Women’s Championship. <\/p>\n

The games will be played at Niranjan Shah Stadium in Rajkot on 10, 12 and 15 January. <\/p>\n

“Amy is a big loss \u2013 while just 19 years old, she has already amassed 74 caps under her belt,” said Ireland Women’s head coach Ed Joyce.<\/p>\n

“But we have worked hard at developing and preparing a wider pool of players to manage the step up to the international stage, and are confident in our squad.”<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
