Lioness Mary Earps, who has won the women’s goalkeeper of the year in the past two editions, is shortlisted again.<\/p>\n
England and Arsenal winger Beth Mead is nominated for the inaugural Marta Award, which has been introduced to honour the best goal in women’s football.<\/p>\n
Mead has been shortlisted for her second goal against West Ham in November 2023. Brazil great Marta, after whom the award has been named, is also among the nominees.<\/p>\n
Emma Hayes, who guided Chelsea to a fifth successive title in the Women’s Super League before winning Olympic gold with the USA, is nominated for coach of the year.<\/p>\n
Manchester City manager Gareth Taylor, Chelsea’s new boss Sonia Bompastor and Celtic head coach Elena Sadiku are also shortlisted.<\/p>\n
Spain and Barcelona midfielder Aitana Bonmati, who was named women’s player of the year in 2023, is among the nominees again for the same award.<\/p>\n
Voting for the ninth annual awards is open on Fifa.com and closes on 10 December.<\/p>\n
