London City Lionesses have signed Spanish youth international Daniela Arques from Sporting, subject to international clearance.<\/b><\/p>\n
The 20-year-old joins on a three-year deal and adds to a strong Spanish contingent at London City.<\/p>\n
As part of an ambitious summer transfer window, London City have signed Spanish two-time Ballon d’Or winner Alexia Putellas and ex-Barcelona defender Mapi Leon.<\/p>\n
Arques links up with London City’s Spanish boss Eder Maestre after a strong campaign in Portugal where she played 32 games and became a key player.<\/p>\n
“I’m really excited to be joining London City and can’t wait to get started,” said Arques.<\/p>\n
“Coming to the UK to play in the WSL is a brilliant opportunity and I’m looking forward to developing as a player and as a person. <\/p>\n
“Being surrounded by experienced players and learning from them every day is something I’m really excited about.”<\/p>\n
Arques was part of the Spain U19s squad who clinched back-to-back European titles in 2024 and 2025, before graduating to the U20s set-up.<\/p>\n
She began her career at Athletic Club de Murcia before spells at Alhama and Levante in Spain’s top division.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
