Molly Caudery says her World Indoor pole vault title “means absolutely everything”.<\/b><\/p>\n
The 26-year-old from Cornwall jumped a season’s best 4.85m to take gold ahead of Slovenia’s Tina Sutej in Poland. <\/p>\n
It meant she reclaimed the title she won two years ago, a victory that propelled her onto the global stage.<\/p>\n
Since then she has struggled at major championships, failing to register a jump at the 2024 Olympic Games<\/a> in Paris having gone into the event as one of the favourites to win gold.<\/p>\n Last year she finished fourth at the World Indoor Championships before injuring herself in the warm-up at the World Championships<\/a> in Tokyo in September.<\/p>\n “I’m just absolutely delighted. It hasn’t quite sunk in yet, but I’m absolutely over the moon, it was an amazing evening,” Caudery told BBC Radio 5 Live.<\/p>\n “It’s been such a struggle. I came to the rise quite quickly getting the world title two years ago, but since then I’ve been to Paris and didn’t have a good one there and then Tokyo and got injured.<\/p>\n “So it just means absolutely everything to turn it around and get the win once again.”<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
