Scotland secured their first win in Women’s T20 World Cup Qualifier Group B by defeating Zimbabwe by five wickets in Nepal.<\/b><\/p>\n

The Scots had opened with a seven-run loss to the Netherlands on Tuesday and bowled Zimbabwe out for 101 in 18.4 overs, with Modester Mupachikwa 30 not out.<\/p>\n

Katherine Fraser’s 44 was the major contribution in Scotland’s innings, with captain Kathryn Bryce adding 23 as they replied with 105-5.<\/p>\n

Craig Wallace’s side reached their target with more than six overs to spare at Mulpani Stadium and face Thailand on Saturday morning, before Zimbabwe play the hosts in the afternoon.<\/p>\n

The Dutch have already qualified for the Super 6 stage, leaving two spots open for Scotland, Nepal, Thailand and Zimbabwe to contest.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
