the victim &#8220;by the back of her hair with one hand and by her throat with the other&#8221;, before &#8220;forcefully&#8221; trying to move her.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">&#8220;The victim reported they were previously involved in an intimate relationship for approximately five months,&#8221; the statement continued.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">&#8220;Lead detective Gary Florencio obtained and viewed video surveillance footage that cooperates key elements of the victim&#8217;s statement.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">The arrest warrant for the 31-year-old American comes after <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bbc.com\/sport\/boxing\/articles\/c5y4g1nl8dvo\" class=\"ssrcss-k8mrr8-InlineLink e1kn3p7n0\">a civil lawsuit was filed<\/a> against him by ex-girlfriend Courtney Rossel in October.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">The lawsuit accused Davis of battery, aggravated battery, false imprisonment, kidnapping, and intentional infliction of emotional distress.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">Rossel is also seeking compensatory and punitive damages &#8220;of over $50,000&#8221; (\u00a338,145), and requested a jury trial.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">Davis was set to fight YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul in an exhibition bout in Miami on 14 November but was pulled from the bout after the lawsuit was filed.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">The arrest warrant for Davis comes six months after a domestic violence case against Davis was dropped by another ex-girlfriend.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">He was also previously arrested on battery domestic violence charges in February 2020 and December 2022.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">Davis served 44 days in jail in 2023 after violating the terms of a 90-day house arrest sentence, in relation to a criminal hit-and-run case that occurred in his home city of Baltimore in November 2020.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p><br \/>\n<br \/><a href=\"https:\/\/www.bbc.com\/sport\/boxing\/articles\/cvgr0p3z9dmo?at_medium=RSS&#038;at_campaign=rss\">Source link <\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Police in Miami say Davis allegedly &#8220;grabbed&#8221;
