Former Hull City boss Liam Rosenior has been appointed manager of French club RC Strasbourg.<\/b><\/p>\n

The 40-year-old led the Tigers to seventh place in the Championship last season but was sacked in May<\/a> as Hull fell short of the play-offs.<\/p>\n

He replaces Patrick Vieira, who left Strasbourg<\/a> on July 18 by mutual consent.<\/p>\n

Rosenior said: “I am happy to join Racing, a historic French club, with supporters renowned for their passion and loyalty.”<\/p>\n

He told Strasbourg’s website: “I will do everything to make the [Stade de la] Meinau proud of its team and its players. I can’t wait to get to work.”<\/p>\n

The Alsace club are owned by BlueCo, the company run by Todd Boehly and Behdad Eghbali which also owns Chelsea.<\/p>\n

Strasbourg finished 13th out of 20 teams in Ligue 1 last season.<\/p>\n

Club president Marc Keller said: “We are pleased to welcome Liam, a young coach recognised for his ability to make his teams play well and to help his players progress.”<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
