Jersey Cricket have reappointed Neil MacRae as their director of cricket.<\/b><\/p>\n

The Scot spent more than a decade in charge of cricket on the island before leaving to take charge of the Netherlands’ women’s side<\/a> in January 2024.<\/p>\n

He has replaced Paul Hutchison, who took over from him almost two years ago before stepping down earlier this year.<\/a><\/p>\n

Hutchison led the island’s men’s side to their biggest-ever win when they beat Scotland in T20 World Cup qualifying, before narrowly missing out on making next year’s tournament.<\/p>\n

MacRae will also work as men’s national team head coach, as well as overseeing cricket on the island.<\/p>\n

“It’s a real privilege to be returning to Jersey Cricket,” MacRae said.<\/p>\n

“The island holds a special place for me and I’m proud of everything we achieved together during my previous time here. <\/p>\n

“To come back, with new experiences from working in international women’s cricket, and to help drive the next stage of development is something I’m genuinely excited about. <\/p>\n

“Jersey Cricket has a strong foundation, passionate people and real ambition. I’m looking forward to getting started and building on that momentum.”<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
