Former Arsenal and Liverpool midfielder Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain has mutually agreed to terminate his contract at Turkish club Besiktas.<\/b><\/p>\n

The 32-year-old joined Besiktas on a free transfer<\/a> following his release by Liverpool in August 2023 and had a year left on his current deal.<\/p>\n

Besiktas, who are managed by former Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, said they had agreed to pay Oxlade-Chamberlain compensation of 1.75m euros (\u00a31.5m) under the terms of the termination, external<\/span><\/a>.<\/p>\n

Oxlade-Chamberlain, who has 35 England caps but last played for his country in 2019, scored five goals in 50 appearances for Besiktas and won the Turkish Cup in 2024.<\/p>\n

The former Southampton player helped Liverpool win the Premier League title in 2020 but was hampered by injuries at Anfield.<\/p>\n

He suffered two serious knee injuries in his time there, playing 146 games and scoring 18 goals after joining from Arsenal for \u00a335m in 2017.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
