Jersey\u2019s Filip Nowacki has won silver in the 200m breaststroke at the European Junior Championships.<\/b><\/p>\n

The 16-year-old also broke the British age group record as he finished in 2:12.74 in Vilnius.<\/p>\n

He was 0.08 seconds behind Turkey\u2019s gold medallist Doruk Yogurtcuoglu.<\/p>\n

It is the second time this year Nowacki has broken a British record after surpassing the 100m breaststroke mark in April.<\/a><\/p>\n

The medal is the latest in international meets for Nowacki, who is tipped to have Olympic potential.<\/a><\/p>\n

He won silver at last year\u2019s European Youth Olympics<\/a> and also won three medals for Jersey at the 2023 Commonwealth Youth Games.<\/a><\/p>\n

He still has the 100m breaststroke to come, having reached the semi-finals of the 50m breaststroke on Tuesday.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
