Sydney Sixers are waiting to find out how long Alyssa Healy could be sidelined for after the wicketkeeper had an operation on her hand.<\/span><\/p>\n

Healy had the surgery after an accident at home and was a late withdrawal from her side’s Women’s Big Bash League game against Sydney Thunder on Sunday.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

She later posted a picture on social media of her left hand in a bandage.<\/span><\/p>\n

“Appreciate all the love. Am at home watching the girls get it done,” wrote the Australia international.<\/span><\/p>\n

Sixers captain Ellyse Perry, speaking before the game against the Thunder, said Healy injured her hand in a “pretty nasty accident”.<\/span><\/p>\n

“No further details of the accident or injury are clear at this time, with further details to be communicated in due course,” <\/span>said a Sixers statement. <\/span>external-link<\/title><\/svg><\/span><\/a><\/p>\n

“She has not been replaced on the Sixers’ roster.”<\/span><\/p>\n

Following the game against Thunder, the Sixers have 12 group games left and any possible games in the knockout stages.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n
