Kenya&#8217;s Beatrice Chebet was just outside the previous mark as she finished second in 14:05.92.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"\" data-reactid=\".1jivpxs3du4.0.0.0.1.$paragraph-11\"><span data-reactid=\".1jivpxs3du4.0.0.0.1.$paragraph-11.0\">It is the seventh time Duplantis has broken the <\/span><strong data-reactid=\".1jivpxs3du4.0.0.0.1.$paragraph-11.$bold-1\">pole vault<\/strong><span data-reactid=\".1jivpxs3du4.0.0.0.1.$paragraph-11.2\"> record over the last four years. The fifth of those records was set at the same Eugene track when the Olympic champion, 23, won his first world title in July 2022.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"\" data-reactid=\".1jivpxs3du4.0.0.0.1.$paragraph-12\"><span data-reactid=\".1jivpxs3du4.0.0.0.1.$paragraph-12.0\">Sunday&#8217;s action also included a silver medal for GB&#8217;s Zac Shaw in the <\/span><strong data-reactid=\".1jivpxs3du4.0.0.0.1.$paragraph-12.$bold-1\">men&#8217;s para-athletics 100m<\/strong><span data-reactid=\".1jivpxs3du4.0.0.0.1.$paragraph-12.2\"> final.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3 class=\"story-body__crosshead\" data-reactid=\".1jivpxs3du4.0.0.0.1.$crosshead-15\">Hodgkinson denied second title despite British record<\/h3>\n<p class=\"\" data-reactid=\".1jivpxs3du4.0.0.0.1.$paragraph-16\"><span data-reactid=\".1jivpxs3du4.0.0.0.1.$paragraph-16.0\">Keely Hodgkinson won the Olympic silver medal and <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.bbc.co.uk\/sport\/athletics\/58509157\" class=\"story-body__internal-link\" title=\"\" data-reactid=\".1jivpxs3du4.0.0.0.1.$paragraph-16.$link-2\"><span data-reactid=\".1jivpxs3du4.0.0.0.1.$paragraph-16.$link-2.0\">the Diamond League title in 2021,<\/span><\/a><span data-reactid=\".1jivpxs3du4.0.0.0.1.$paragraph-16.3\"> before winning silver at the last two World Championships, behind USA&#8217;s Athing Mu here last year and Kenya&#8217;s Mary Moraa last month in Budapest.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"\" data-reactid=\".1jivpxs3du4.0.0.0.1.$paragraph-17\"><span data-reactid=\".1jivpxs3du4.0.0.0.1.$paragraph-17.0\">The <\/span><strong data-reactid=\".1jivpxs3du4.0.0.0.1.$paragraph-17.$bold-1\">women&#8217;s 800m<\/strong><span data-reactid=\".1jivpxs3du4.0.0.0.1.$paragraph-17.2\"> trio renewed their rivalry in Eugene and although Hodgkinson, 21, broke her own British record she again had to settle for second in one minute 55.19seconds, as Olympic champion Mu held on to win in a US record of 1:54.97.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"\" data-reactid=\".1jivpxs3du4.0.0.0.1.$paragraph-18\"><strong data-reactid=\".1jivpxs3du4.0.0.0.1.$paragraph-18.$bold-0\">Women&#8217;s 200m<\/strong><span data-reactid=\".1jivpxs3du4.0.0.0.1.$paragraph-18.1\"> world champion Shericka Jackson upset Sha&#8217;Carri Richardson to win the 100m on Saturday and the Jamaican followed that up by cruising to the 200m title in 21.57seconds.
