Gary Lineker has launched a stunning attack on the BBC while enjoying his new freedom with Netflix during the 2026 World Cup.
The former Match of the Day presenter transformed “The Rest Is Football” podcast into a daily Netflix show alongside Alan Shearer and Micah Richards in New York.
Lineker says Netflix allows the trio to be authentic, including swearing on air, while describing the BBC’s remote World Cup coverage as “soulless.”
He also revealed that he no longer feels like he is “walking on eggshells” after leaving the broadcaster following 26 years with Match of the Day.
