What drives the Taliban\u2019s oppression of women and minorities, and can they govern this poverty-ridden, war-torn nation after decades of conflict? <\/p>\n<p>In interviews with chief spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid, former suicide-attack planner, Habibullah Badr, and former provincial governor Abdullah Sarhadi, now a senior military commander, these Taliban officials discuss their past actions, including the bombing of Tolo TV and the destruction of the Bamiyan Buddhas, the last time they were in power in the early 2000s. <\/p>\n<p>The film contrasts the daily routines of Taliban officials with the immediate impact of their policies on ordinary Afghans, specifically focusing on the restrictions placed on women.<\/p>\n<p>We see a woman navigating a divorce dispute during a meeting with a provincial governor.
