The movie debuted with a $17.8M opening weekend, climbing past $43M worldwide. <\/p>\n<p>Markiplier wrote, directed, financed, and starred in the film, and he\u2019s been open about the production\u2019s wildest challenge: using more fake blood than any movie before it. As a result, real\u2011world blood donation drives took place across the US, with fans lining up to give blood after screenings.<\/p>\n<p>Markiplier worked closely with game creator David Szymanski to keep the world authentic, relying heavily on physical effects.
