Stretching across the Indus river valley, the Indus Valley Civilisation was larger than ancient Egypt and Mesopotamia. They had streets and houses made from baked bricks and even flushing toilets 4,000 years ago.

Archaeologists have found no clear evidence of kings, palaces or nobility. The mystery deepens because we haven’t yet deciphered the scripts. Without the ability to read it, much about this ancient civilisation still remains a mystery.
