Aberdeen’ summer squad rehaul has started with the triple signing of Lewis Mayo and Brad Lyons from Kilmarnock and Austrian midfielder Alexander Briedl. <\/b><\/p>\n

Scottish defender Mayo, 26, has signed a three-year contract while Northern Ireland midfielder Brad Lyons, 29 and Blau-Weiss Linz’s Briedl have agreed two-year deals.<\/p>\n

Stephen Robinson’s first summer signings follow captain Graeme Shinnie’s departure, with the 34-ear-old midfielder returning to Inverness Caledonian Thistle.<\/p>\n

Robinson said Briedl “brings many of the qualities” he wants in a midfielder and that he will be a “good fit” for the Scottish Premiership.<\/p>\n

He added that Lyons brings “a real competitive edge and strong leadership qualities” and that Mayo is a player they have “admired for some time” for his consistency and professionalism.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
