So too have some family court judges.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">This uncertainty was put to bed in January when <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bailii.org\/ew\/cases\/EWFC\/HCJ\/2020\/2.html\" class=\"ssrcss-f6h2dj-InlineLink e1kn3p7n0\">a High Court judge ruled in Amicable&#8217;s favour.<span class=\"visually-hidden ssrcss-1f39n02-VisuallyHidden e16en2lz0\">, <!-- -->external<\/span><\/a> Mr Justice Mostyn said: &#8220;There can be no doubt that the initiative of Amicable has greatly improved access to justice, for many people effectively disenfranchised from the legal process, by the near total withdrawal of legal aid from private family law proceedings.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">He added that he was &#8220;fully satisfied that no conflict of interest arises&#8221; from the fact that Amicable works with both parties to the divorce.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">Kate said, following the judgement, that <a href=\"https:\/\/www.legalfutures.co.uk\/latest-news\/high-court-rejects-judges-complaints-about-online-divorce-service\" class=\"ssrcss-f6h2dj-InlineLink e1kn3p7n0\">it would &#8220;change the legal landscape forever&#8221;.<span class=\"visually-hidden ssrcss-1f39n02-VisuallyHidden e16en2lz0\">, <!-- -->external<\/span><\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">London-based Amicable has now secured about \u00a31m of investment to fund its expansion.
