Cardiff Devils maintained their winning start to the season with a 3-2 overtime victory over Sheffield Steelers in the Challenge Cup.<\/b><\/p>\n

Cole Sanford fired the hosts ahead in the 10th minute, with Ben Davies extending Cardiff’s lead early on in the second period.<\/p>\n

Dominic Cormier responded for the Steelers, and Mitchell Balmas levelled up the contest in the opening seconds of the third period.<\/p>\n

But Brandon Estes struck the winner for the Welsh side in overtime as they made it two wins from two at the start of the new campaign.<\/p>\n

Devils return to Challenge Cup action against Guildford Flames at the Vindico Arena on Friday (19:00 BST).<\/p>\n

Steelers make the trip to the Motorpoint Arena to take on Nottingham Panthers on Saturday (19:00 BST).<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
