About 80 firefighters are tackling a fire at a block of flats in Battersea, south-west London.<\/p>\n
The entire top floor and roof of the four-storey residential building on Maysoule Road is alight, London Brigade (LFB) says.<\/p>\n
The building has been evacuated by fire crews wearing breathing apparatus, while firefighters have been using a large turntable ladder as a water tower to help tackle the flames from above. <\/p>\n
Three people have been treated by paramedics at the scene; one of those has since been taken to hospital, one is being assessed, while another has been discharged.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
The London Ambulance Service (LAS) said it was called to the block, near the junction of Hope Street and Benham Close, shortly before 19:30 BST.<\/p>\n
An LAS spokesperson said: “We sent resources including ambulance crews, an incident response officer and members of our Hazardous Area Response Team.<\/p>\n
“This incident is ongoing and we are working alongside our emergency service partners at the scene.”<\/p>\n
The cause of the fire is not known at this stage.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
