Heavy rain and hailstones forced the closure of the shopping centre<\/figcaption><\/p>\n<\/figure>\n

Dundee’s Overgate Shopping Centre has been evacuated after heavy rain and hail caused flash flooding.<\/p>\n

Shoppers were told to leave the centre after water started flowing down ramps to the front of the building at about 16:15.<\/p>\n

Large hailstones, some the size of \u00a31 coins, fell in a 20-minute burst over the city, with some roads also flooded in the city centre.<\/p>\n

The shopping centre has been contacted for comment. The Scottish Fire and Rescue said it was not required to attend the incident. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n
