Police were called to an address in Bonar Bridge’s Carnmhor Road on Thursday<\/figcaption><\/p>\n<\/figure>\n
\n

A 50-year-old woman has been airlifted to hospital after a stabbing in Sutherland.<\/p>\n

Police said a 24-year-old man had been arrested and charged in connection with the incident in the village of Bonar Bridge on Thursday night.<\/p>\n

The force said emergency services were called to a report of a disturbance on Carnmhor Road at about 21:15.<\/p>\n

The Scottish Ambulance Service said it sent two ambulances, an air ambulance and a specialist trauma team. The woman was flown to Raigmore Hospital in Inverness.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Police said the man was due to appear at Inverness Sheriff Court on Monday.<\/p>\n

Det Insp Calum Reid said: “We understand that an incident like this can cause concern in a small local community. <\/p>\n

“However, this is being treated as an isolated incident with no threat to the wider public.<\/p>\n

“Officers remain in the area as part of our inquiries and anyone with concerns can approach them.”<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/article>\n
