Two police officers have been injured in an incident outside a police station.<\/p>\n

South Wales Police said it was called to reports of a male causing a disturbance outside Talbot Green police station in Rhondda Cynon Taf.<\/p>\n

It said one male had been arrested and asked people to avoid the area.<\/p>\n

The two injured officers were currently being treated by paramedics, the force added. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Local councillor Sarah Jane Davies said she understood the situation was “causing concern and anxiety” among the local community, adding that she was seeking updates.<\/p>\n

She urged people to avoid the area and to “remain calm and vigilant”.<\/p>\n

A video shared online showed a number of police cars lined up along the street nearby.<\/p>\n

The police station is close to the centre of Talbot Green, and also near Talbot Green Shopping Park, which is visited by thousands of people every day.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
