A 57-year-old man has died following a head-on crash with a lorry on Balshagray Avenue in Glasgow.<\/p>\n
The crash, which involved a white Nissan Qashqai happened at about 13:50.<\/p>\n
Emergency services attended and the male driver of the Qashqai was pronounced dead at the scene. His family has been informed.<\/p>\n
The driver of the HGV, a 53-year-old man was taken to hospital as a precaution.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
Balshagray Avenue was closed at Victoria Park Gardens South, along with Victoria Park Drive, northbound from the Clyde Tunnel, to allow an investigation to be carried out.<\/p>\n
Sgt Christopher Hoggans said: “Our thoughts are with the deceased’s family. Our inquires remain ongoing as we work to establish how this collision occurred.<\/p>\n
“I would ask road users and members of the public who were in the area around the time of the incident to contact us with any information<\/a>, no matter how insignificant it may seem.<\/p>\n “If you have any dashcam footage please check it and is could prove significant to our investigation.”<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
