An 18-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murder after a woman was shot dead outside a church in north-west London.<\/p>\n
Michelle Sadio, 44, was standing amongst mourners outside the River of Life Elim Pentecostal Church on Gifford Road in Harlesden, when shots were fired at about 21:30 GMT on 14 December, the Met Police said.<\/p>\n
The 44-year-old died at the scene, while two men, both aged in their 30s, were also injured. One remains in hospital in a critical but stable condition, the other has been discharged following treatment, the force added.<\/p>\n
Police say the gun was fired from a black Kia Niro with distinctive alloys<\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n Following the shooting, the car was driven to Barnhill Road where it was abandoned and set alight, the Met said.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n Det Ch Insp Phil Clarke, who is leading the police investigation, said: “While this arrest marks a significant step forward in this investigation, we continue to appeal for anyone with information about Michelle’s murder to come forward and speak to us.<\/p>\n “This was a senseless act of violence that resulted in an innocent woman being killed. <\/p>\n “Michelle’s family continue to grieve and we are determined to ensure those responsible face the consequences of their actions.<\/p>\n “If you can help in any way then please don’t hesitate to contact us.”<\/p>\n Anyone with any information or relevant photos from the incident are being asked to upload it to an online police portal.<\/a><\/p>\n<\/div>\n
