A family has paid tribute to the “sweetest, kindest” grandmother, who died in hospital two weeks after being hit by a car in Aberdeen.<\/p>\n
Maureen Davidson, 83, was knocked down while walking on Whinhill Road on 6 December<\/a>. She died at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary on Saturday.<\/p>\n Police Scotland said inquiries were ongoing into the circumstances.<\/p>\n In a statement, Ms Davidson’s family said they were “devastated by the tragic loss of our lovely mother and grandma”. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n They said she was in great health and “lived independently with a buzzing social life”, enjoying meals out with friends, bingo and dancing.<\/p>\n Ms Davidson’s granddaughter added: “My grandma is one of the sweetest, kindest and most resilient people you could ever meet. <\/p>\n “She was like a parent to me, and I’m forever grateful to have had her in my life.”<\/p>\n Police Scotland appealed for anyone with information about the incident, which happened at about 11:20, to contact them<\/a>.<\/p>\n Sgt Alexander Bowser-Riley said: “Our thoughts are with Maureen’s family and friends and everyone affected by this incident. <\/p>\n “Officers will continue to support the family as our inquiries progress.”<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
