BBC<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\nA two-year-old boy has died and four adults have been injured in a hit-and-run crash involving a stolen car.<\/p>\n The collision, between a Toyota Auris and a grey Porsche Cayenne, took place in Dartmouth Road, Smethwick, in the West Midlands, just before 23:00 GMT on Saturday.<\/p>\n A woman, aged 29, and a 30-year-old man are in a serious condition in hospital, while another man and woman, both 30, are stable.<\/p>\n Detectives said the driver of the Porsche, which had been stolen earlier in December, fled the scene.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n Police believe the Porsche was driving away from the roundabout on Kenrick Way, when the crash took place. <\/p>\n The child and the four adults injured were all travelling in the Toyota, police have confirmed.<\/p>\n The road was closed in both directions while specialist reconstruction staff examined the scene, but has since reopened.<\/p>\n Det Sgt Paul Hughes, from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit, said: “I would urge the driver of the Porsche to do the right thing and come and talk to us. <\/p>\n “They made the wrong decision to run away and I’m asking them now to make the right one.”<\/p>\n West Bromwich MP, Sarah Coombes, spoke in Parliament on 27 November about speeding on Kenrick Way.<\/p>\n She said local residents “dread” Friday and Saturday nights.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n <\/div>\n
