The sky is a dark blue and can be seen slightly through the tree branches.\" class=\"sc-a34861b-0 efFcac\"\/><span class=\"sc-a34861b-2 fxQYxK\">Robert Canis<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p><figcaption class=\"sc-8353772e-0 cvNhQw\">The winning photograph, titled Twilight Wanderer<!-- --><\/figcaption><\/p>\n<\/figure>\n<div data-component=\"text-block\" class=\"sc-18fde0d6-0 dlWCEZ\">\n<p class=\"sc-eb7bd5f6-0 fYAfXe\">It took a full day for Mr Canis to set up the cameras, and he would return every three-five days to check on them.<!-- --><\/p>\n<p class=\"sc-eb7bd5f6-0 fYAfXe\">He found the picture that caught his attention &#8220;two weeks and multiple visits later&#8221;, taken as part of a six-year project documenting the &#8220;natural history&#8221; of Leeds Castle.<!-- --><\/p>\n<p class=\"sc-eb7bd5f6-0 fYAfXe\">The competition had nine categories, and was assessed by a panel of judges including senior photo editor for National Geographic Alexa Keefe.<!-- --><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div data-component=\"text-block\" class=\"sc-18fde0d6-0 dlWCEZ\">\n<p class=\"sc-eb7bd5f6-0 fYAfXe\">&#8220;I&#8217;ve taken photographs to share experiences and make people care more about the natural world,&#8221; he said.<!-- --><\/p>\n<p class=\"sc-eb7bd5f6-0 fYAfXe\">&#8220;Anywhere can be a place for photography,&#8221; he added, noting that &#8220;the best places to take pictures are where you live&#8221;.<!-- --><\/p>\n<p class=\"sc-eb7bd5f6-0 fYAfXe\">Mr Canis won \u20ac800 (\u00a3664.60) prize money.<!-- --><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p><br \/>\n<br \/><a href=\"https:\/\/www.bbc.com\/news\/articles\/cwyg4213597o\">Source link <\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Mr Canis takes pictures of wildlife across Kent Mr Canis hoped people could appreciate the natural world more through his photography A photograph of a fox taken at first light in the grounds of Leeds Castle in Kent has won first prize in an international competition.
