An 18-year-old man has been charged with murdering his mother in north Wales.
The body of 45-year-old Angela Shellis was discovered in the Morfa area of Prestatyn, close to Dawson Drive on Friday.
Tristan Thomas Roberts, of the town’s Coniston Drive, was arrested on Saturday and appeared at Llandudno Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday.
Ms Shellis’ family previously paid tribute to her, calling her “a loved daughter, sister, mum and aunty who will be sadly missed”.
North Wales Police are continuing to appeal for information that may assist their enquiries.
Det Ch Insp Andy Gibson said: “Anyone who was in or around the Morfa area, near to the football fields, on Friday, 24 October between 03:00 BST and 08:30 BST should contact us, if they have not already done so.
“It remains imperative that we identify any persons in the area during these key times.”
He said now charges have been brought he urged people not to “post online anything that could be prejudicial to future court proceedings or undermine the criminal justice process”.
Mr Roberts was remanded in custody and will appear at Mold Crown Court on Wednesday.
