Marcus Huntley has admitted murder, while Tony Porter, Melissa Quailey-Dashper, Jordan Mills-Smith and Joshua Gordon deny the charges against them

CCTV revealing the moment a woman was murdered as she opened the door to a flat has been shown to a jury at Cardiff Crown Court.

Joanne Penney, 40, was fatally shot in Talbot Green, Rhondda Cynon Taf, on 9 March.

The trial had previously heard Ms Penney was killed as a result of a turf war between two rival gangs dealing drugs in south Wales.

Marcus Huntley, 21, of St Mellons, Cardiff, has already admitted murdering Ms Penney.

Jordan Mills Smith, 33, from Cardiff, denies murder. Joshua Gordon, 27; Melissa Quailey-Dashper, 40; Kristina Ginova, 21, and Tony Porter, 68, all from Leicester, deny murder and taking part in organised gang crime.

The court was told the images showed Ms Quailey-Dashper knocking on the door of the flat at Llys Illtyd before moving back to allow Huntley and Mr Mills Smith, 33, to get closer.

The video, the jury was told, showed Huntley appear to lean forward and point at the door before all three turned and ran back to a waiting car.

The court was shown a reconstructed 3D image of Huntley leaning over a low wall with a gun in his right hand pointed at the victim.

Video has also been played to it which showed, according to the prosecution, Huntley, Ms Quailey-Dashper and Mr Mills-Smith leaving a Nissan car at a fast food restaurant before walking toward the site of the shooting minutes before Ms Penney’s death.

The prosecution said the car was driven by Mr Porter and that Mr Gordon was also in the car.

After the shooting, the prosecution said, CCTV showed Huntley, Ms Quailey-Dashper and Mr Mills-Smith returning to the car about five minutes after leaving it.

Images were shown of the Nissan leaving Leicester earlier in the day along with a Volvo.

The prosecution said that was driven by Mr Gordon’s girlfriend, Ms Ginova.

It heard the cars travelled in convoy to Cardiff where Huntley and Mr Mills-Smith got in.

While the Nissan went to Talbot Green, the prosecution said the Volvo went to a McDonalds.

There Ms Ginova ordered two meals despite appearing to be alone.

The prosecution has told the jury that she took Mr Gordon’s mobile phone with her.

The case continues.
