A Bristol man has appeared in court after a 15-year-old boy was shot in Cardiff.
Ashley Fernando Corbin, 20, appeared at Cardiff Magistrates’ Court charged with conspiracy to have a firearm with intent to commit grievous bodily harm and conspiracy to cause grievous bodily harm with intent.
He did not enter a plea and was remanded in custody.
A 17-year-old boy, who cannot be named, is expected to appear in court later on Thursday.
He is charged with owning a firearm with intent to commit grievous bodily harm and causing grievous bodily harm with intent.
South Wales Police said Mr Corbin, of no fixed abode, was arrested in the Bristol area on 16 June.
It followed an incident in Clos Y Ffynnon, Pontprennau, Cardiff, where a a 15-year-old boy was shot on 7 June.
The boy was taken to hospital where he was treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
The force said it had arrested four other people in connection with the incident.
