A national body for football supporters says there are “broad” concerns over plans to allow Welsh teams in the English pyramid to compete in the Welsh League Cup.
The Prosiect Cymru (Project Wales) proposals involve Cardiff City, Swansea City, Wrexham and Newport County entering the competition.
The winners would secure a place in the European Conference League.
Although the four clubs would continue to play league football in the English leagues, they would sacrifice their ability to qualify for Europe via English competitions.
These include the Premier League, FA Cup or the EFL’s League Cup, which Swansea City won in 2013.
